& NAVIGATING DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS

Join fellow Leadership Exchange participants for a two-part virtual workshop designed to strengthen your coaching skills and help you navigate tough conversations more effectively.

These sessions are highly interactive, with more than half the time dedicated to practice in small breakout groups. You’ll learn tools for giving feedback, building team trust, and managing difficult dynamics—with space to apply what you're learning in real time.

What you’ll get

  • Build foundational coaching skills to help you empower others, deepen reflection, and avoid advice-giving traps.

  • Develop strategies to navigate difficult conversations with more clarity, confidence, and care—even when stakes are high.

  • Practice both coaching and feedback techniques in breakout groups with peers from the Leadership Exchange.

  • Learn the OARS coaching framework (Open questions, Affirmations, Reflections, and Summaries) to support others’ growth and clarity.

  • Strengthen your approach to conflict and tension, using real-world leadership challenges as your practice ground.

  • Leave with tools, language, and confidence you can apply right away in your day-to-day leadership.

What’s inside

Session 1

Spend up to 30 minutes reviewing coaching frameworks and strategies for navigating difficult conversations, and the remaining time discussing live demonstrations and practicing in guided breakouts.

SESSION 2

Check in on successes, challenges, and learnings after practicing between sessions, then review and practice to hone your skills. This session will be shaped by what participants need, with at least one hour of practice and debriefing.
